Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug
I went a little crazy with the beFunky filters on my phone:) The above pic doesn’t do it justice… check out the picture below for the exact colors:)
Last week the free Mothers Day printable cupcake toppers, cake toppers, and gift tags were a big hit, so I made a Mothers Day Banner that you can download print and assemble that matches. The below are the spacers included with the letters. All you need to do is take a small hand held hole punch and put a punch in each of the top corners and then run yarn, string, raffia, whatever you would like through them:)

You can download all of the letters and spacers HERE through Media Fire. Please let me know if you have trouble accessing the files:) Make sure you check out my post with the matching Cupcake toppers and gift tags to make your Mothers Day party a success:)

My digital paper source is from www.sassy-designs.net. They have an awesome selection of digital papers and often run sales where you can get them for $1 or less.

P.S. Don’t forget to check out my Mothers Day giveaway for a T-Fal ActiFry kitchen appliance!

Free Mothers Day Printable – Cupcake Toppers, Food Pick Toppers, and Gift Tags

I was busy creating some digital design goodies yesterday and made the above free Mothers Day printable cupcake toppers. I made them in a mini and large size so you can use them for cupcakes, cakes, and even to have fancy cheese or hors d’ovres picks:) Also, if you are wrapping gifts, they will make a great gift tag!

Remember, these are for personal use only. The digital paper I used to make these toppers was from Sassy Designs Inc. If you love these can you please share them with others by Pinning, Tweeting or Sharing on Facebook. Just click the share buttons below to pass it along.

You can download both sizes of the free Mothers Day printable cupcake topper and the terms of use HERE - The sheet is sized to print on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I recommend using a heavier card stock, however, I printed some on standard copier paper, too. To make the toppers and picks, take two circles and sandwich the toothpick in between. Affix with scrapbooking glue or double sided tape. Enjoy!

And the Valentines Day Upcycle Crafting Continues… Conversation Heart Frame

I still had half of a bag of conversation hearts that I really don’t need to be eating, so I looked for other things in my house that I can hot glue them to:) Last week I made a Conversation Heart Wreath for V-day. You can see that project HERE.

I found an old neglected frame in a wood finish that I don’t like and it’s just been hanging out in a box in purgatory.. Not ready to be thrown out, yet not cute enough to be displayed. I decided to give it new life for Valentines Day:)

The steps are simple:

1. Find a frame that you can’t stand. I would prefer one that was flat for the hot glueing. It wouldn’t have looked as nice if I would have used a molded frame. Also, if you don’t plan on doing an overlapping row like I did, you may want to paint the frame first to compliment the candy hearts

2. Start gluing down the hearts. I tried to stick to a color pattern, however, you can glue them down any way you like:)I glued a row of hearts on top of the original rows so that the frame doesn’t show through.

3. If you want (I reccomend) you can seal it. I used the Matte Modge Podge and a sponge brush, however, it did wipe off some of the writing, so in hindsight I would have used a matte spray sealer instead to preserve the writing. All in all it was a successful project. I think I’m going to give this to one of the grandmas:)

Weekend Warrior: Upcycled Conversation Heart Wreath

Here’s a little story for you:

There once was a girl who had an ugly wreath. Every year when she would take her Valentines Day decorations out of the box. That wreath was left on the bottom. She didn’t have the heart (no pun intended) to throw it out because the previous owner loved it so. One Valentines Day, she decided to take that wreath and make it into something she could be proud of…

The conversation heart wreath was born…

How I did it:

1. I took the ugly wreath and removed all of the flowers

2. I took a hot glue gun and glued on the conversation hearts

3. That’s it! Easy Peasy:)
