I am starting to head into crazy busy season. Summer for our family is filled with camps, travel, work and balancing time with Little Man… Also tons of birthday parties, picnics and all of those fun (but exhausting) activities that summer brings.
One of my favorite things to do is read, but I rarely get free time during the week. As summer comes I look for beach reads that I can digest while sitting on the sand on Topsail Island and good news is, I found the perfect read! If you are looking for a book to put on your summer reading list – add MOST WANTED!
I love a good thriller and Lisa Scottoline does not dissapoint with Most Wanted. Here is a little recap of the book:
About Most Wanted
Christine Nilsson and her husband Marcus desperately want a baby. After years of trying, unable to conceive, they discover that Marcus is infertile. Working with a highly respected fertility doctor and clinic, they decide together that Christine will use a donor to conceive. Three months pass and Christine is happily pregnant, and saying her final farewells to her beloved colleagues at Nutmeg Hill Elementary School.
But a chance glimpse of a news report on TV results in a shocking revelation. Christine discovers that a man arrested for a series of brutal murders is her donor – the biological father of the child she is carrying. Delving deeper to uncover the truth, she must face her worst fears, and confront a terrifying truth.
Are you hooked yet? As someone who had struggled with infertility, it definitely strikes a chord and the topic is something that you could see today on the news. In fact, last week, THIS was on the news. The industry isn’t strictly regulated.
For our Philly readers you will love that the backdrop for a large portion of the book is West Chester, PA. One of my favorite places and home of my one semester alma mater WCU!
It also poses some moral quandries as well – what would you do if you found out that your sperm donor was a serial killer??? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
